CAROL
HALTER, CPA

Carol has a BA from SUNY Oneonta and has been with the Firm
since 1979. She is the Technical Reviewer for the Firm’s
financial statements and is qualified as a Peer Reviewer through
the AICPA Practice-Monitoring Program. Carol is trained in
Trust and Estate accounting for court presentation and does
foundation accounting and tax preparation. She is in charge
of all quarterly and monthly accounting services. She is trained
in QuickBooks and Peachtree accounting software applications
and advises clients in related technical areas. Carol is a
volunteer treasurer for two local not for profit organizations.
DAVID
BROWNELL, CPA

David
graduated from Clarkson College with a B.S. in Management. After
working in a manufacturing business, he joined Gruver, Zweifel & Scott,
LLP in December 1998. During his time here, he has been involved
in governmental, nonprofit and business audits, reviews and single
audits. He also has experience in individual and business taxation
and nonprofit governmental filing. David is trustee for his church
and enjoys triathlon training and being involved with his children.
LYNN
YOUNG, CPA

Lynn
is a graduate of the State University of New York Institute of
Technology, with an M.S. degree in Accountancy. She has been
in public accounting since 1998 and with Gruver, Zweifel & Scott,
LLP since October, 1999. She is in charge of various nonprofit
and business audits and also performs supervised fieldwork on
several other governmental, nonprofit and school district audits.
Her experience also includes income tax preparation and QuickBooks
training.
SCOTT
HOSLER, CPA

Scott
is a graduate of Utica College with a B.S. degree in Accounting
and an MBA degree in Fraud Management. He has been in public
accounting since 1996. He worked for Gruver,
Zweifel & Scott, LLP in
1999 and rejoined the firm in 2005. Scott has extensive experience
in small business consulting and accounting, including the
set up and use of QuickBooks, corporate, individual, income
and payroll tax and nonprofit reporting requirements.In addition,
he is responsible for several nonprofit and governmental
audits. Scott is currently serving as secretary to the Utica
Chapter of the New York State Society of Certified Public
Accountants and is an active member of the Association of
Certified Fraud Examiners. He is also an adjunct professor
of accounting for the Economic Crime Investigation program
at Utica College. Scott enjoys playing golf, spending time
with his family and is a licensed whitewater rafting guide.

MORELLE

is a graduate of SUNY Institute of Technology at Utica/Rome
with a B.S. in Accounting. Rob has been in the public accounting
field since 2001 and joined Gruver, Zweifel & Scott,
LLP in December 2005 and has experience with audits of school
districts, governmental, nonprofit and single audits.

WILLIAMS, CPA

Rebecca
is a graduate of Syracuse University with a B.S. degree
in Accounting. She joined Gruver, Zweifel & Scott,
LLP in September, 2002 and has been involved with small
business consulting as well as tax and payroll preparation.
She has also performed supervised fieldwork on governmental,
nonprofit and school district audits. Rebecca occasionally
writes articles geared towards small businesses for Small-Biz
Focus magazine.
SPRING
PIROHA

Spring
joined Gruver, Zweifel & Scott, LLP in July, 2000. She
holds an M.S. degree in Accounting from State University of
New York at Binghamton. Spring has performed supervised field
work on several governmental and nonprofit
audits, performs compilations and reviews, as well as preparing
quarterly payroll and sales tax reports and monthly accounting
services. Her experience also includes individual and business
income tax preparation. Spring is a currently treasurer of
the Mt. Upton Lions Club and a member of the American Legion.
HEATHER
LESSELS, CPA

Heather
joined Gruver, Zweifel & Scott, LLP in 2004. She is a 2004
graduate of Hartwick College, Oneonta, NY, and holds a B.S.
degree in Accounting with a dual major in Information Science.
Heather has performed supervised tax and payroll preparation,
as well as fieldwork on governmental, business, pension plan,
nonprofit and school district audits. Her experience includes
the performance of compilations and reviews, as well as the
set-up and use of QuickBooks. Heather has been a Girl Scout
leader since 2004.
CHRIS
LANE

Chris
joined Gruver, Zweifel & Scott, LLP in July 2007. He graduated
in 2005 with a B.S. in Accounting and Business from SUNY Plattsbrugh,
and has been in public accounting since 2005. He has also performed
fieldwork on non-profit and business audits, review and compilations.
His experience also includes income tax preparation for individuals
and businesses. Chris is currently pursuing his CPA certification.

DEMARMELS

Veronica
graduated from SUNY Binghamton with a B.S. in Accounting. She
has been in the public accounting field for two years and joined
Gruver, Zweifel & Scott, LLP in August 2007.
She
has performed fieldwork on non-profit and business audits,
review and compilations. Her experience also includes income
tax preparation for businesses and also for individuals.
She is working towards her CPA certification.
